Fabric Friday hasn’t been around for a while but I’m pleased to say that I’ve literally been doing nothing else but see for two days … progress at last!!
I therefore thought that it would be nice to remind you (and me) of projects that I need to finish and those that I am about to embark upon.

Helloooo! I’m so sorry that I’ve been neglecting things around this neck of the woods in recent times however I have got a bit of time on my hands this week so I thought that I’d swing by and catch up on a few things.
Grab a cup of tea and I’ll begin the waffle …
Ok, so I remembered to do this post. This is a good thing when you consider that just lately my brain appears to be melting away.
I’ll wander from one room to another and think, “now, what did I come in here for?” and then I’ll remember several hours later.Read More »
I know a few people that will be off on their travels soon so I thought that I would use that as a theme for today’s Artist Trading Card Challenge.
Today’s ATC sees the return of an old favourite with a little touch of colour clash!
Well, I’ve just wrapped up on my last live TV show before Christmas, the tree is finally complete and I’m just about ready for the big day so I thought that it would be an opportune moment to pop a quick post on here before heading away from the internet for a few days.
This may seem odd but I have never actually owned a Christmas tree before this year or had one in my house over the holiday period as I rarely have people over – it’s just been easier for me to visit everyone else.
This year though I wanted to bring Christmas home, and also bring the homemade into Christmas.
Never have I been more excited than when I was put in touch with glass blowing artist, KT Yun. This chance opportunity led to an exclusive interview just for my little old blog :)
KT Yun is one of the talented craftspeople who has created the beautiful pieces of artwork in the new print advertising campaign for KETTLE® Chips which celebrates the care and attention taken to create the nation’s favourite hand cooked crisps.
KT is originally from the Scottish Highlands near Loch Ness and studied a National Diploma in Design in Carlisle before eventually relocating to the South of England to study Glass Art at UCA Farnham. KT now lives and works on the Somerset/Wiltshire border where she runs a glass studio and also creates products for other glass artists to use.
Following my initial gushy silliness at talking to such an accomplished glass artist I actually got around to nervously asking KT some questions.
***The Draw Is Now Closed***
Just a quickie as I’ve not had time to make a tutorial this week however given the response to the tote bag tutorial the other week I have decided to do a little blog candy giveaway type draw to win the two bags that I made in the tutorial.
Ok, so you’ve probably heard me waffle on about glass working being a dream of mine. Indeed I’ve shared some dabblings on this blog in the past.
Just recently though I’ve had a right hankering to take it further. So I did!
Here’s a little (and by little I mean goes on forever) post about the best time in my life, ever! You might want to get a comfy seat and a cup of tea (and some ear plugs).
It has occurred to me that I often prattle on about how much I love working with fabrics but haven’t really shown much of it on this blog.
To rectify this I will be setting down soon and putting together a series of blog posts that will come out every Friday (assuming that I have the time of course).
They will aptly be named – Fabric Friday :)
This one is a little teaser to show you just a few of the things that I have done in the past and what I will be showing you how to do in these posts (oh, and a little update on the upcycled shirt quilt that I have been working on for what seems like forever!).
You’ll be seeing a lot of my mush on Create and Craft TV in the week from Sunday 12th January 2014 so I just wanted to list all of the show times and products here so that you can pick and choose (either way, I hope that you will be there with me).
I’ve also listed when Mel Heaton will be on with the Brother Scan N Cut so that you can tune in for the lot if you need to.
Hello all. Here are the results of the cabochon giveaway that I recently did on the Making Microwave Fused Glass Cabochons blog post.
I found out some exciting news a few weeks back and have been sworn to secrecy – until now!
The Brother Scan N Cut is coming soon to Create and Craft TV…
