Hey, how’s it going? If you follow me on social media you may have heard me waffle/moan about having a bit of a creative block recently. Sorry about that.
To clear my ‘channels’ I decided to go back to doing daily mini creative thingys. You know, random stuff.
No alternative launch date yet, however, I had an opportunity yesterday to record a little video introduction the range of cut foil and emboss dies and didn’t want to waste it.
You, yes you. You are forever in my heart. You’ve been with me as I’ve gone through good times and more difficult times. I really appreciate it, but I am not sure that I say it enough.
If there is one constant over the last few years it is the never ending cycle of creating, inspiring and enjoying arts and crafts with like minded people.
Whether creating, being inspired or enjoying any kind of creativity, I hope that you will agree that this little foray into mixed media will sum up the story well.
Oooh, bloody hell, it’s 2019 !!! Happy New Year! Seems weird to still be talking about Christmas so blame the carol.
On the eight day of Christmas my true love sent to me, eight maids-a-milking …
It’s a lovely gift but who is supplying the creatures being milked?! Does my true love assume that I have a heard of cows roaming around my flat? If so, my true love doens’t know me that well.
The alternatives from history aren’t that much better – hares-a-running or boys singing. The only one that I liked was hounds-a-running, although eight of them all bounding around could get pretty bloody annoying.
Carol aside, I should let you know that I used the 12 Days Of Christmas stamp set that came free with Issue 63 of Creative Stamping Magazine.
A line was drawn at the side of the Artist Trading Card and the sentiment stamped in the space created. This area was then masked off and the main design was stamped across the remaining space.
Alcohol markers and a little sparkle were then used to colour the design. At this point, I was getting a bit belligerent with the ATCs and I added a little ‘Oi!’ from Daisy as she wasn’t too happy about the maids nicking her milk.
Just four more days of Christmas to go. Seems to be dragging now though, right?
Have you packed up the tinsel already? Decs down and ho-ho-ho vac-packed and put in the loft?
Maybe lets keep a little of the Christmas cheer out for a couple more days, eh?
