The other day we said hello to Mama Elephant. Today, I am saying hello you to, friend.
Probably the punniest intro to a blog post that I will make all year but it needed to be made.
Why? Because of the card in the post, of course.

My love of stamping goes way back. You can see my fascination running throughout the last few years of this blog but it goes even further back.
Back to the days where matting and layering did not really appear in card making and wood block stamps were the only choice.
How times have changed this!

Oooh, bloody hell, it’s 2019 !!! Happy New Year! Seems weird to still be talking about Christmas so blame the carol.
On the eight day of Christmas my true love sent to me, eight maids-a-milking …

It’s a lovely gift but who is supplying the creatures being milked?! Does my true love assume that I have a heard of cows roaming around my flat? If so, my true love doens’t know me that well.
The alternatives from history aren’t that much better – hares-a-running or boys singing. The only one that I liked was hounds-a-running, although eight of them all bounding around could get pretty bloody annoying.
Carol aside, I should let you know that I used the 12 Days Of Christmas stamp set that came free with Issue 63 of Creative Stamping Magazine.
A line was drawn at the side of the Artist Trading Card and the sentiment stamped in the space created. This area was then masked off and the main design was stamped across the remaining space.
Alcohol markers and a little sparkle were then used to colour the design. At this point, I was getting a bit belligerent with the ATCs and I added a little ‘Oi!’ from Daisy as she wasn’t too happy about the maids nicking her milk.
Just four more days of Christmas to go. Seems to be dragging now though, right?
Have you packed up the tinsel already? Decs down and ho-ho-ho vac-packed and put in the loft?
Maybe lets keep a little of the Christmas cheer out for a couple more days, eh?
See you tomorrow for day 9.
J :)
