On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me, FIIIIVE GOOOOOOOOLD RIIIIIIIINGS!!!

We might mumble our way through the rest of the verses, especially the ones coming up, but EVERYONE knows this bit!
Whether goldie, golden or gooooold, it appears that the gold rings have been a constant since 1780. That’s probably why we all know it so well. *shrugs
Carol aside, I should let you know that I used the 12 Days Of Christmas stamp set that came free with Issue 63 of Creative Stamping Magazine.
A line was drawn at the side of the Artist Trading Card and the sentiment stamped in the space created. This area was then masked off and the main design was stamped across the remaining space.
I then used a light grey alcohol marker to give a shadow to the rings which were coloured using a gold glitter gel pen.
Looks like a I forgot to erase a guide line tho – whoopsie!
Really like the simplicity of this style and may use it for other stamping projects in the future.
What do you think? I’d love to hear your thoughts on the collection so far.
For now, day 5 – tick! Day 6 on it’s way…
Bye for now.
J :)
Thank you John, so inspirational. I have ordered the magazine to get the stamps, so look forward to playing. A very Happy New Year to you. xx

Looks gorgeous John, love the way you did your shadow, it seem like the gold rings are on top of the paper. Great idea. Thank you again for sharing.

Loving this one hun.
I love all your one’s so far but this is my favourite. I enjoy getting the notice through to say you’ve uploaded the next one. The simple clean lines is giving me some great inspiration for the new year too, for when I can get into my craft room past all the toys and bits my son has put in there that he got from santa haha.
Happy new year to you Mr Crafty Genius

I like the way you’ve used a grey marker pen to highlight the rings. Gold glitter pen for the rings too! Very nice indeed. xx
