In a range of my completed projects using the Brother Scan N Cut I have used Peel Off vinyl sheets to create sentiments or even a complete verse.
Transfering this to the finished project was a little challenging until I remembered Magic Transfer Tape.
Here is a quick run down of how it works and why it is AMAZING!
Welcome to the second post in the Fabric Friday series.
Last week I promised that I would be back each Friday to show you some fabric projects, tips and ideas – yay! I managed two in a row!
Since then I have had a number of you contact me to say that you are new to sewing and need simple to make ideas; some of you also asked for details on how to make the fabric bowls that I showed you last week.
So, Fabric Friday 2 ticks both of those boxes with a walk-through on how I make the fabric bowls.
It has occurred to me that I often prattle on about how much I love working with fabrics but haven’t really shown much of it on this blog.
To rectify this I will be setting down soon and putting together a series of blog posts that will come out every Friday (assuming that I have the time of course).
They will aptly be named – Fabric Friday :)

This year I wanted to make something a little special for Mother’s Day to show my mum that I loved her when I stumbled across a picture on Facebook from Paper Panda.
The picture showed the results of one of the template kits that Paper Panda sells and was of an intricate heart shaped branch and leaf design with the word Mum featured in the middle.
I’ve done a few jewellery making projects in the past and am often left with a few beads left over each time. Having collected these in a little jar, I thought that I would have a go at making a bead soup bracelet.
I also recently got wind of a new tool that would make the process of forming the loops on headpins much much easier – so I thought that this would also be a good opportunity to put this to the test.
For a while now I have had a list of design ideas that I’ve been wanting to try. With a rare day off the other day I thought that I would give one of them a try.
It was a simple concept – make a teabag folding design using rubber stamps.
Little did I realise that it would become a labour of love and take up most of that day off.
It was definitely fun to do though and I was so proud of it that I thought that I would like to share it with you all.

The key to happiness is quite elusive. According to some rubber stamps that accompanied this month’s issue of Get Stamping the message is clear, “Doing what you like is freedom; Liking what you do is happiness”.
I guess that they have a point.
Anyway, don’t worry, I’m not going to waffle on about philosophy and all that. I think that you can guess that this post is in fact about something that I made with the stamps that I got with the magazine.
I find creating geometric patterns in Serif Craft Artist very easy. I have had a couple of questions in recently asking if I could create a video on how I do this.
I don’t actually have the facility to do this right now however I though that it would be easy enough to explain how to do this with step by step screen shots – so that’s what I did. I hope that this helps those of you that were curious …
So I’ve had mine for a couple of months, and it’s now only just over a week until the Brother Scan N Cut machines start shipping from Create and Craft TV so I thought that I would try and do a post per day this week to try and bring you up to speed with all of the things that I have tried, tested and discovered since I have had more time to work with it and to hopefully give you a head start for when yours arrives.
Ever have those mojo lows? I know I’ve had a couple over the last few weeks, and having talked to some of you on Facebook and Twitter, it appears that you often have the same problem. I therefore thought that I would start a little mini-series of mojo busting techniques that I sometimes use in the hope that it will help you too :)
Now, I don’t know whether it is my age, or just the need for something tangible in my hand however I have been reaching more for magazines lately than I have the internet. Are you the same? (Seems a bit weird asking that as you are reading this on the internet…)

Well, both Mel and I have been overwhelmed by, and grateful for, the positive feedback from the Brother Scan N Cut shows on Create and Craft TV however there have been a lot of frequently asked questions asking for more information.
I have therefore trawled as much of the internet for you and collated a list of useful links that I hope will cover a lot of these FAQs.

After the last two amazing features, the fussy cutting might seem a little tame however don’t underestimate this amazing helping hand! I can see many uses for this one.
The “Fussy Cutting” function which helps you cut exactly the area of the cardstock or material that you want by providing you with a preview of your cardstock on the screen of the machine.
