This week I have been having a little colouring in session with my Spectrum Noir pens.
I didn’t start this project with anyone in mind so I chose a fairy for the design as it’s one of those universal images that seems to sit well with most people – everybody loves a fairy, right?

Just a quickie as I’ve not had time to make a tutorial this week however given the response to the tote bag tutorial the other week I have decided to do a little blog candy giveaway type draw to win the two bags that I made in the tutorial.
Welcome back to another Monday Mash Up!
This week I have been toying with using old templates again … this time I have been taking a two dimensional template and turning it into a three dimensional gift box.
It’s rare that I dedicate a post to a person, rather than a technique or discovery, but it would be remiss of me not to dedicate a Fabric Friday post to sewing ace, Debbie Shore.

It’s not often that I have the time to put together such a comprehensive blog post so I certainly took advantage and armed myself the camera (with fresh battery and empty memory card), notepad and pencil and set myself up in front of the Brother Scan N Cut.
During shows on Create and Craft I have previously demonstrated how to make decorative sentiment plaque on the Brother Scan N Cut machine using only two pre-installed shapes so I thought that I would document that technique for future reference.
This (all 60+ pictures) together with a whole load of words, is the result of a well spent morning … Enjoy!
I’ve often seen prairie points in various guises and creations however I’ve never had a go at these.
The notion of mucking about with these little triangles resurfaced when they were briefly demonstrated during a recent show that I worked on at Create and Craft featuring Debbie Johnson and Kim Suleman from Canny Keepsakes/Six Penny Memories.
I mentally noted down the “how to” in my memory bank of makes but it was only in the last day or so that I have managed to get a couple of days to play in the craft room.
So, given that I had the time and the inclination – I thought that I would have a go.
I’ve had a LOT of questions about importing and exporting different file types for use with the Brother Scan N Cut so I thought that I’d do an explanation of the file types and how to use them with the Scan N Cut Canvas so that you can refer back to it whenever you need to.

I’ve been sewing up some pin cushions this week as little testers for christmas (yes, I said it) gifts for some friends and family that like sewing so I thought that I would share the results (so far) with you.

Been having a tinker with the Brother Scan N Cut again this week and made a cool little project that I thought that I would share with you.
I’ve had a lot of questions, and talked a fair bit about, the Brother Scan N Cut Canvas online design suite so I thought that it was about time that I gave you more of an explanation as to what this is and what you can do with it.
It’s just a quick overview but will hopefully cover some of those frequently asked questions.

Bookmarks are fairly easy to create and involve some very basic skills. In this post I’ll give you a very basic overview as to how I create mine to give you a jumping off point in case you wanted to have a go yourself.
