Creating Coasters With The Scan N Cut, Or Not. THAT Is The Question. Also, A Load Of Waffle About D/W Safe Mod Podge – Oh, And Some Pictures…

Hallo, all. A thought occurred to me the other day that I have gathered a fair few newbies over the last few years that may have missed out on some of the stuff in the archives.

So, as the exciting month of March rapidly approaches time will be limited for me to create new content so I thought that it was a serendipitous opportunity via which I could dive into the archives to share some older, but still very popular, videos and tutorials.

Just before I do though, I have one technique that I would like to share with you and it’s double trouble as it CAN be done on the Scan N Cut, but, I will be asking you the question, should it … ?

Handsewn Loyalty Card Wallet Cut With Scan N Cut by John Bloodworth Gentleman Crafter (1)

A Quick Teaser

So, in November last year, I stumbled across an awesome product that folks with electronic cutting machines, and perhaps others, are going to LOVE – especially if you want to make wallets or handbags.

8 Maids Milking Artist Trading Card by John Bloodworth Gentleman Crafter

The 12 Days Of Christmas – Day 8

Oooh, bloody hell, it’s 2019 !!! Happy New Year! Seems weird to still be talking about Christmas so blame the carol.

8 Maids Milking Artist Trading Card by John Bloodworth Gentleman Crafter

It’s a lovely gift but who is supplying the creatures being milked?! Does my true love assume that I have a heard of cows roaming around my flat? If so, my true love doens’t know me that well.

The alternatives from history aren’t that much better – hares-a-running or boys singing. The only one that I liked was hounds-a-running, although eight of them all bounding around could get pretty bloody annoying.

Carol aside, I should let you know that I used the 12 Days Of Christmas stamp set that came free with Issue 63 of Creative Stamping Magazine.

A line was drawn at the side of the Artist Trading Card and the sentiment stamped in the space created. This area was then masked off and the main design was stamped across the remaining space.

Alcohol markers and a little sparkle were then used to colour the design. At this point, I was getting a bit belligerent with the ATCs and I added a little ‘Oi!’ from Daisy as she wasn’t too happy about the maids nicking her milk.

Just four more days of Christmas to go. Seems to be dragging now though, right?

Have you packed up the tinsel already? Decs down and ho-ho-ho vac-packed and put in the loft?

Maybe lets keep a little of the Christmas cheer out for a couple more days, eh?

See you tomorrow for day 9.

J :)
