You’ve seen those fancy embroidered word flowers, right? Well, I’m giving those a try this week!

The other week, as part of my ‘normal’ design work, I created a baroque style frame for digital cutting machines and whilst I was thinking of what to do with the machine embroidery this week, I thought that this design would make look wonderful as an embroidered design.

Continuing my explorations into the NEW Hatch 3 embroidery digitizing software this week and I have been itching at the bit to have a go with the new cross stitch creation module of the software, so, I did!

Well it has been exciting for me over the last few days as, whilst I was having me little break, Hatch released a shiny new version of their embroidery digitizing software with a bunch of improvements and new tools!

A little quickie this week.

I am looking at ways of decorating small areas of my home and wanted something to put near the small collection of books that I have. Gone are the days of hundreds of books in my place. I am all minimal these days and have less than fifty so adding a little “fun” to the area will hopefully make it look reet spesh.

This week has been a good week, despite what this design indicates. The goal here was to create a design mostly focusing around text and I was feeling a little cheeky too … so, this!

Bee-broidery is a thing! No, no it’s not. But I think I am going to make it BEE a thing! Yeesh, thankfully there are no more of these rubbish puns in this week’s adventure in machine embroidery.

I enjoyed last week’s little play with some ready made inspiration so this week I went hunting for a simple design that I could make into something a little out of the ordinary. Stumbling across a silhouetted flamingo sparked an idea so I went with it…

Didn’t have too much time to experiment this week so I picked up a cool book pile design from Urban Threads this week and put my own little spin on it.

This week I wanted to have a work through some of the skills that I have been building over the last few weeks and make a fuller design that incorporates a range of tools.
