Creative Ideas With Couture Creations – Super Simply Layered Thanks Sentiment

Creative Ideas With Couture Creations – Super Simply Layered Thanks Sentiment

Recently I shared an image of a card that I had made on Facebook and Instagram.

Many of you got in touch to ask how I did it – here is how…

Oh, in case you hadn’t seen it, here is the card that caused a stir.

Thanks! Greetings Card with Layered Sentiment Die Cuts YT

It used one of the delightful sentiment cut foil and emboss dies that I designed for Couture Creations. No foiling though, just some die cutting and ombre inking. Simple, when you know how.

Interested? Here’s the video explaining it all from start to finish.

Hope you enjoyed that and will give it a go yourself.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to sharing more with you soon!

Bye for now.

  1. Hi John, doubt you will remember me as not been ‘with it’ for many months following an OP and then complications. Anyway just want to say how inspiring I find everything you do and your explanations are so calm and precise. I still have an unused SnC and when I sit at my craft table I just feel totally overwhelmed and never really get going. I have enough craft supplies to open a shop. I think the term is all the gear and no idea. I, like you, have many other hobbies such as knitting, crochet, patchwork, jewellery making but feel I have lost my way. To be honest sometimes I look around my craft room looking at all my ‘stuff’ and feel like giving it all away, then think ‘oh I might feel like giving it a go sometime’ so end up keeping it all. This is especially true for all papercraft and mixed media. I’m in a pickle and just don’t know what to do???? Anyway I do love watching your videos etc but feel I may be kidding myself that I will ever achieve. Thank you for the inspiration.🌝

    • Hi Sue,
So sorry to hear about the complications with the op but glad you are well enough now to get back in the craft room and reach out.
Believe it or not, I too have these ‘creative blocks’ and when I find myself in that state tend to take a day “off” and have a tidy up. Having a clear workspace tends to ‘clear the clutter’ bith mentally and physically. Then I try to break myseld in gently by either doing small quick creations, like artist trading cards or, if tackling something like a card, I would break it down into stages – like choosing a colour, then fishing out bits and pieces that I have in that colour like card, sentiment, gems etc – this way, at each stage I’m ticking off a mental checklist and before I know it, have a complete card ready to put together. Whether I do put it together or not is irrelevant, it’s more like jump starting a car.
Maybe something along those lines would be worth a try?
In any case, take care of yourself and stay strong ❤
