During the sell-out run of UK based Brother Scan N Cut workshops, AND the additional bookings for the more advanced workshops AND a request to host a workshop in South Africa, Australia and the United States, it has become evident that I am not physically capable of conducting workshops in every location that has been requested, especially given that many of you guys & gals live in all corners of the world!

Had a fair few questions from various sources so thought I’d pop them here with answers.
- What is the price of the course? I have priced it at £29.99 however as many of you saw during the launch weekend Udemy sometimes has a sale on where they offer the courses on their site for less. I don’t control when these happen so if you see it at a lower price, grab it!
- Do I have to pay for the app? No, the app is free.
- Can I access this on a MAC/Smartphone/Tablet? Yes. For some devices, the app offers a better experience than the browser.
As a final note, as the platform that I am using to host this course is managed by Udemy, all technical/playback/access issues will need to be addressed to them. On a PC move your cursor over your avatar and select ‘support’ from the menu. In the app tap on ‘Account’ and then swipe down until you see ‘support’ and tap on that.

Hi Ros, I don’t believe so. Pricing and payment processing are handled by Udemy. I am not sure where you are in the world however local taxes may be applied during checkout – could this be a possibility? If not, it may be worth trying again from scratch. If that still doesn’t correct things I would reccomend contacting the Udemy technical team.

Shouldn’t think demand would be an issue as this platform hosts tens of thousands of students accessing hundreds of courses so they are geared up in that way. When you say ‘not available’ please can you clarify what you mean by this…

Very odd! Would you mind reporting this to Udemy when you have a moment, please? I am sure that they will be able to help find out what is happening and fix this for you. It seems to be isolated to two cases so I wonder if it is specific to region or device but they would be best placed to help.

A terrific idea, not just the fact it’s obviously something that there is demand for but that this benefits people who, for whatever reason, can’t travel to the workshops you do around the UK. The fact the hosting app has CC is a bonus too. As you know I use a different cutting machine but will share on Pinterest, Insta & Twitter for you.

On your laptop you can access the Udemy site via your web browser. On Samsung and iPhones there is a free app that you can download too. Hope this helps.

Just signed up! I have done quite a bit with my SnC but there’s always more to be learned, and great to find your classes all in one place. Very glad you’ve gone for Udemy as the platform, I’ve done several classes on there and been very pleased with the service.

Yes. Although I demonstrate on the CM900 a lot of the content will relate to all models.

Could you confirm the total cost is £10.99. Just checking as I thought it too low. Also could I ask I purchased a lot from your original site from day 1 but am unsure which section on the new rules to sign up for. I am a card maker and don’t really do 3D projects as such so could you advise the best subscription to go for

The price that I set is £29.99 however Udemy sometimes run special offers for the courses hosted on their website so therefore if they say the price is £10.99 then that’s the price – but I don’t know how long that offer will run so it’d be worth grabbing it if you’re interested.
Re the new Digi site. It’s more based on what you want to do – if you just want the cutting files then the CUT level will be just fine. The CRAFT level adds coordinating digi papers, digi stamps and an extra cutting file set to make a pre-designed project. I don’t think the CREATE level would be right for you as apart from a 3D project the only addition would be extra file types to use with other software.

Hi John, Long time no see. I have just seen your new course details on the Scan n Cut and I think it is a marvellous idea, so much I went over to the site to buy it, but I don’t know if I am having an old lady mind block, but the only one I saw was a similar course but it was only £10.99. Is there another section on Udemy that I have missed? Sorry to bother you but there may be another old biddy like me who needs a little help to find things. That’s the right one Joan. I believe that Udemy have been offering special prices on their courses this weekend, including new ones. So, if that price is still there, I’d sign up before it goes back up to the regular price of £29.99

Sounds great. Will you be doing troubleshooting as well? And how much would the course be for Australian users? I have viewed a few of your tutorials and find them very easy to follow with occasional pauses. New to scan n cut and computers. Thankyou.

Price in AUD is 34.99 however Udemy may have a special offer in your region so it might be worth checking on the website.

The reason that I didn’t list the price in the blog post was that sometimes Udemy offers special prices on the courses hosted on their website so I wasn’t sure if it would change and when, plus I didn’t want this blog post to mislead.
