All Counties Craft Challenge Diary – At The NEC, Workshops A Go-Go and Maisy’s MOT.

Remember way back in the early days of the challenge and I introduced you to the Demented Cats?

Well, the lovely group has grown and invited me back to Royston. So that’s where Maisy and I headed on Saturday night.

More parking on the M25 and we made it in time for bed.

I think you may be starting to see why I don’t do such a great job of keeping up with emails now, lol.

Anyway, running workshops for groups has its own step-by-step route to success so I thought I’d show you just some of what’s involved.

Wake up time is often 6.30am. After that there’s some driving involved to get to wherever it is that Maisy and I are supposed to be.

Then:

Step 1 – unpack boxes and boxes, and some bags, of ‘stuff’.

Step 2 – Get into venue and assess the situation.

Step 3 – Set up tables and chairs.

Generally arriving at next destination in the early evening.

Phew, busy innit?!

The next destination in this case by the way is a garage near Brighton where Maisy is to have her MOT *queues dramatic music*

Long story short, sadly she failed it do currently I am taking refuge in a budget hotel until the morning when the garage ‘hopes’ to be able to have sorted things that need sorting,

Right, this just about brings us up to date I reckon so, as any good serial concludes, I have a cliffhanger for you.

Will I see Maisy again?!

Will Maisy get the operation that she so desperately needs?!

Will I get to Surrey in time for the three day workshop weekend?!

It’s a good job that I don’t live with a general anxiety disorder isn’t it … oh, wait, I do!!!

Eek!

Please don’t forget that I am doing this tour in order to raise awareness of mental health issues and to raise money for Mind, the mental health charity.

If you would like to contribute and help me reach that £20k target you can do so in three ways.

  1. Make a donation on my Just Giving page.
  2. Make a donation via the Create & Craft TV website, for an additional P&P charge of £2.99 you will also be sent an official challenge postcard colouring book.
  3. Attend a workshop. To find out if there is one coming up near you, please visit the itinerary page on this blog.

Thank you for reading and I’ll see you again soon.

  1. Hiya John

Oh yes, when you don’t want the stress it’ll come in two’s or threes every time! Hey at least you get a night of a luxurious flushing loo. I sure Maisy is in good hands though and will come through just fine. You’ve had a really busy week or so, hoping NEC was successful for fundraising. Looks like the workshops have been a lot of fun and I hope the next is just as successful.

Take care of yourself, hugs, T x
