I’ve been having a little play with some (lots) of paints and inks over the last few evenings as a sort of way to unwind from thinking about all of things that I’ve been trying to achieve.
I’m very pleased with the results and I think that when you find out some of the techniques, you may be a little surprised…
Sadly this post is not a tribute to the 80’s pop group that brought us classics such as Agadoo. It is instead a lovely canvas art project that I recently completed.
It’s been a while since I last blogged but I certainly haven’t been idol. I’ve been trying out lots of new things and trying to work in some techniques that I already enjoy.
I am therefore very pleased to be able to bring you another Monday Mash Up this week. This time it is a bit of home decor that starts out with a small artist’s canvas and some cheap wrapping paper.
Some time ago I created three canvas panels with the look of battered leather or distressed wood (I’m not sure what I set out to do to be honest, but they turned out quite well).
In either case they were not supposed to end up sitting on the floor in a corner gathering dust so I decided to pick them up, dust them off, apply some finishing touches and get them on the wall where they belong!Read More »
