Exploding gift boxes don’t sound like a thing of joy – especially the ones in those adverts that chuck things all over you – however, on this occasion, thankfully, it’s smiles all round!
With a little playtime late one evening I decided to crack out a new set of dies that I recently collected from the guys at Craft Stash.
As recently announced I was accepted onto the design team for Couture Creations.
I was, therefore, a little excited when my design team pack arrived but before I got cracking on projects, I thought that it might be a nice idea to share with you the contents of the kit.
Nothing goes to waste when you use a GoPress and Foil system. Watch as I share a method of using the leftovers from Cut, Foil and Emboss dies to create a second foiled design.
It’s proper magic!
Due to the amount of tiddly little dies that I have increasing, along with the ever decreasing work surface that I have to use I recently decided to take a punt and get myself the Gemini Go! from Crafters Companion.
Turns out, it was a well-spent penny!
Read on and find out why…
The addition of cut foil and emboss dies from Couture Creations has really brought the GoPress and Foil into it’s own.
Check out how to use these amazing time-saving dies in this video.
Ran out of that ‘special’ sparkly cardstock? No problem, with the GoPress and Foil you can create your own!

Another wonderfully sparkly technique for the GoPress And Foil fans.
This time I will share with you how to create a fabulous distressed background using just the hot foils!
Got a rather swanky technique for you GoPress owners. Now you can use your nesting dies as hot foil stamps to add foiling to their edges!
Come take a look!

During the recent shows on Create and Craft TV, I discovered more cool creative technique for using the GoPress and Foil system.
Got a mo? Then let me share them with you.
Hopefully, in recent weeks you’ve seen my demonstrations on Create and Craft TV or on YouTube for the GoPress & Foil machine.
If so, I am pleased to share another cool idea for using this innovative system to spice up your ribbon stash.
Back in July the UK got it’s first taste of the GoPress & Foil system. Since then the team that developed it have come up with some new ideas for using the system and have therefore re-designed the system to enable us to do more!
I am therefore well excited to be bringing you version two of this incredible creative craft room tool via Create & Craft TV tonight!
I have even put together a little video to help explain the new ‘bits’.
Welcome to episode 2 of Gentleman Crafter TV!
In this episode, I will be sharing with you a technique for using the Hunkydory Adorable Scoreboard to make box frames of varying sizes and shapes. There is also a spreadsheet download that will help you calculate the right size of cardstock to cut, to begin with, and then where to score your lines.
Well excited about this blog post as it sees episode 1 of GCTV – Gentleman Crafter TV – go out on YouTube!
Hoping to create a video each week so that we can have some time together – cute, eh?
