May I wish any of my blog followers with a birthday between January 20th and February 18th.
It’s your time, Aquarians!
To celebrate this, and all upcoming Zodiac occurrences I treated myself to a fabulous set of Cosmic Stars stamps by Mama Elephant from Simon Says Stamp.

Cute, aren’t they?
Apparently you Aquarians are often generous with your time and resources, are the friendliest of the signs and enjoy all things gadgety!
I am therefore super glad to count you among my chums.
With this set I made the first card, to celebrate the age, or at least the month, of Aquarius!

Pretty simple rubber stamping escapade here but allow me to elaborate.
I began by creating a mask using some alcohol ink and some masking film.

Then I positioned my circular stencil and used it to help decide where to place the stamped image.

I plopped the mask over the little Aquarian and grabbed a whole bunch of blue-ish inkpads, plus a purpley one, and dabbed and shaded through the stencil.

I kinda didn’t like how high up I had placed the design and so, to extend the design area further down the card, I drew a couple of lines and masked of a section of the card.

Using the same pigment ink pads, I plopped a load of ink to make it look like some of the little guys pot of water was spilling over and making a waterfall.

I then whipped off all of the masking stuff…

Yup, that works!
I wanted to add a tiny bit of dimension to the card though and therefore stamped out the design of the cutie pie onto another piece of cardstock, coloured it with some pencils and chopped it out – removing his legs at the same time.

No real reason for this operation, I just thought that the legs he already had were fine. No reason to give him two more.
To finish the card I stuck him to the card using foam tape, added a hand drawn border and some clear gloss to the waterfall for a touch of ‘authenticity’.
Et voila!

Sweet little cutie eh?
Oh! Forgot to say, I wasn’t too keen on the upside down smile so whited over it with a gel pen and then drew on a new smile. If only it were that easy in real life, eh?! Lol.
Hope you enjoyed this little make and have something to take away. What did you think? I would love to hear your thoughts.
If you do have your own ideas and would like this set of stamps, just head over to Simon Says Stamp and snap yours up today.
Anyway, time to crack on and stop mucking about.
Look forward to bringing you more soon.
Bye for now.
J :)
P.S Just a thought on having a second look at them maybe that’s their noses ? and none of them have any mouths- what do you think?

You’re probably right, but in some case it makes them look sad so I’ll turn the nose upside down too ;)
