The 12 Days Of Christmas – Day 10

January 3, 2019 — 5 Comments

Ready to see what my unhinged true love got me on day 10?

On the tenth day of Christmas my true love gave to me, ten lords-a-leaping…

10 Lords Leaping Artist Trading Card by John Bloodworth Gentleman Crafter

Yep. My true love kidnapped ten lords, stuffed them in bags and delivered them to my front door.

Help me.

Again, this verse has seen many changes over the years with pipers, ships, fifers, ladies dancing, cocks and asses all appearing doing various things.

Wait, *wipes spectacles*, cocks and asses?!

Please, don’t let my true love see those ones.

Carol aside, I should let you know that I used the 12 Days Of Christmas stamp set that came free with Issue 63 of Creative Stamping Magazine.

A line was drawn at the side of the Artist Trading Card and the sentiment stamped in the space created. This area was then masked off and the main design was stamped across the remaining space.

Alcohol pens were then used to colour the design in with some glittery accents being added to the crown and the cloak.

You know, the verses after 6 really do decend into a ‘whatever you like as long as it fits the music’ style. Have you got any suggestions?

You know, I am filled with dread about day 11. The more of these that I do, the more weird my true love gets.

Bye for now.

J :)

Love it John, and thank you, I’m laughing fairly hard as cocks and asses. Giggling like a little school girl, but very needed so thank you. Also I wonder what card you would make for those haha xx
