As with all Friday Giveaways all names will be shoved into a suitable container and a name drawn at random. Well, two names in this instance as there are two copies to give away.

GENTLEMAN CRAFTER 
I am most prout of the quilt I made for my granddaughter Adrienne my first attempt at quilting. It took me 7 mths but was done by the time she was born which was good as she was prem.

I am most proud of selling any of my cards as the proceeds go towards to very small village charities. One to repair the church and one to maintain our local children’s playground. Being able to then give the money raised to both of these charities is great.

Well deserved recognition John. You are doing a great job on your tour of Great Britain. What makes me most proud of my creative achievements, is certainly other people’s appreciation of what I have created. I recently discovered that one lady keeps all the cards I have sent her in a special place in her office, on permanent display. Bit scary – I hope they last!

Its been lovely to see you on your journey, in your motorhome. Seeing all these places, it must be like going on holiday every day, although you have been working.hard raising money for the mental health , so they will benefit, which is great. Meeting all these people whilst travelling, must have been interesting and great fun.

Firstly, congratulations John – so great to see your achievements recognised in print and shared more widely with other crafters! I’ve recently had a number of my crafting projects shared with volunteers and service users of a local charity through their WISH magazine. The charity, Befrienders Highland, offers befriending support either face to face, or telephone/postal services to people with mental health problems and service users with dementia and they produce two magazines, one for crafters and the other for creative writing.

So proud when someone says they are going to put the cards I have made for their children in memory boxes for them to keep

seeing the cards on the window sill or shelf long after the event because they like the cards so much.

My most proud creative moment was when,while struggling alot with my own mental illness, a local theatre company trusted in me and my work so much that they asked me to produce a number of pieces of artwork to be published in their book. I was so proud it meant alot to me, especially as it gave me the strength to get well again.
