Today’s ATC takes the theme of transformation, literally.
Hello again! Well, here is number 20 in my 365 day challenge.
Today’s them was hope. It’s something that we all experience in different ways and that often keeps us going.
My collection of Tim Holtz Distress Inkpads has grown a fair bit over the last 12 months and until recently they have been stored in a plastic box which I have to wrench out from under other boxes in order to get to them.
After a recent craft stash avalanche, whilst trying to get to the inkpads, I thought that I would have a try at making some storage for these so that I can access them at anytime without causing a disaster each time.
Until now I have only really been using the Tim Holtz Distress Inkpads to add a shade of colour to a large area, or to accent the edges of a design so I decided to sit down and see if I could make it more of a feature for a design.
You know the saying. ‘You can’t teach an old dog new tricks’. I’m not so sure.
If like me you have a stash of stencils and templates that you got donkey’s years ago, and that have sat in the drawer since then, why not have a rummage and see if any would be suitable for Zentangling.
That’s very much what I’ve been doing this weekend.
A while back I waffled on nonchalantly about stamping out a pattern using the Inkadinkado Stamping Gear and then Zentangling into the gaps – just to see what it came out like.
Well, it took longer than expected (mostly because I made it big) but now that it’s done, I think that it turned out a lot better than I thought it would.
Here’s a quick look at what I used, the stages and the finished project.
