Day 19 – 30 Days Of Card Making
Curious combo but pertinent message in today’s creation…
Regular readers of this blog will know why I am doing this mini challenge in order to reunite my mojo with my craft space. To follow the full journey, you can find all related post in the 30 Days Of Card Making archive.
Ok, on with today’s creation.
This one started out with some texture paste onto a piece of plain white cardstock. When dry this was coated in a red acrylic paint. Gold and red wax paste were then scuffed over the top and heat set. Finally the piece was lightly sanded back.
Now, I know a lot of the background isn’t visible but I think that it is really striking and would like to thank mojo and craft space for their valiant efforts today.
The sentiment was stamped and layered and mounted on the card using foam pads.
Craft space offered up some embossing powders to play with today and mojo set about heat embossing a bunch of sheets with different colours. One of these, the gold one, was used to die-cut the flowers. The red flowers were die-cut from off cuts from the red background, to tie it all together visually.
Looks alright, dunnit?
Oh, the message, yes, I did actually think of quitting but as the message says, think about why you started, so I did. Good news = I will be back tomorrow with another card!
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Thanks for reading today’s progress. Hope you will join me tomorrow to see how mojo, craft space and I get on with your journey.
Much love,
J x.

Like Lesley I think this sentiment would look very good in my conservatory which is also my craft room. Love the sentiment and it would certainly suit me as I often wonder why I started something! Looking forward to the next instalment, over half way now! X

Hi John. I have been watching your journey back to a happier creative place in silence but I just had to comment on today’s card which with your permission would like to copy and put on my motivation shelf in my craft room. I am so glad you took note of your own advice as I am sure by now you will know how much your fans would miss you. Your tips and advice have been an inspiration to me since first seeing you on T.V. many moons ago. I would also like to thank you for your generosity in all the cutting files etc that you let us purchase for a mere £10 I am astounded at how much is in that little zipped file. Sending a really big crafty Hug to you. Reta Retro. 🦋
