All Counties Craft Challenge – Update 3 – A Couple Of Christmas Angels

I’ve been a little quiet on the All Counties Craft challenge for the last week or so because I have been working my way through various exciting developments however I wanted to take a moment to share a little update with you that really warmed my heart.

Firstly I’d like to tell you about a man called Marc.

Marc contacted me after booking a place in a group workshop.

Marc wrote, “Hi John, I have donated for a place on one of your craft classes. I want to give that place back to you so you can offer it as a prize. As soon as I get Christmas out the way I will be back. If there’s any thing I can do let me know. Good luck. big love, Marc“.

‘Nice gesture’, I thought, so I contacted Marc to thank him and during our discussions Marc also went on to tell me that he has been very ill and also encounters mental health difficulties as a result of living with S.A.D. This is why he wanted to contribute.

Well, I can tell you my heart was in my throat and I was choking back a tear or two.

But wait a minute, I mentioned TWO Christmas angels didn’t I?

My second Christmas angel is Julie Hickey. Many of you will know Julie from her work with Craftwork Cards, indeed this is how I met her.

Julie and I have grown to be good friends since we met but it was still a big surprise when she contacted me this week and said that she would like to support the challenge and would like to buy a workshop and a couple of the abstract line art rewards to give away.

I know, you could have knocked me down with a feather – a second fabulous offer!

Naturally I said yes!

You know, all this generosity and good will did get me feeling a little fuzzy inside so I decided to add another bonus to the giveaway list.

So, with thanks to Marc and Julie, my Christmas angels, I have the following All Counties Craft challenge related goodies to give away as a little festive fun.

  • 3 x 1-2-1 Workshops from the All Counties Craft challenge (worth £50 each).
  • 3 x Abstract Line Art Rewards from the All Counties Craft challenge (worth £15 each).

So, how do you get hold of one of these fabulous Christmas giveaways?

Simply pop the phrase, “Merry Christmas Marc and Julie, with lots of love from […]“, replacing the […] bit with the county in which you live, in the comments section below. [please remember that comments are manually approved to help avoid spammers so your comment may take some time to appear after you post it].

As with all giveaways there are a couple of terms and conditions.

  • You must be over 18.
  • You must be a resident of the United Kingdom.
  • There is no cash alternative.
  • Entries received after 23:59 on December 31st 2015 will not be counted.
  • Winners will be drawn at random within one week of the closing date and will be notified by email.

That’s it, just a little genuine Christmas generosity to celebrate the festive season.

I am genuinely grateful for all of the offers that have been coming in – I will hopefully have more to share with you soon but I’ll have to leave it there for now and crack on with laying on the sofa.

Thanks again to Marc and Julie and Merry Christmas to all of my lovely blogettes!

Take care and I’ll see you again soon.

J :)

  1. Merry Christmas Marc and Julie with lots of love from Inverness-shire. Merry Christmas to you too John – have you found your campervan yet? I have a crafty friend who does the marketing for a van hire company so if not it might be worth an email to test their festive generosity. Let me know if you want contact details – and if you’re planning to come this far north later in the year when my guest house is less busy I might be able to buy a place on a session!

  3. Merry Christmas Marc and Julie, with lots of love from Blackpool, Lancashire. Very generous donations Julie and Marc but it is going to a great crafty event. John you must be crazy travelling and living in a motor home for twelve months but then again it will be great to see everywhere and everyone and will be one hell an adventurous year. Good luck.

  6. Hi John

This isn’t an entry due to my own circumstances (which you will be aware of after I emailed you a few weeks ago) but I wanted to say what heroes Marc and Julie are for supporting you, and wish them both a merry Christmas and a good 2016 for demonstrating what the season of goodwill is all about. I want to also wish you John a very merry Christmas and a happy 2016, and hoping the all counties challenge goes from strength to strength.

I’ve been struggling last few weeks with what little energy I have going on getting gifts wrapped and sent rather at the last minute hence why I’ve been pretty quiet on your blog. Will catch up with the shares for your svg files soon though, promise!

Christmas hugs to you, your family and your supporters,

    T x
