How’s the day going? Are you managing to start it with a certain sense of calm?
I’m not. It’s crazy busy here – the deadlines are racing towards me at a phenomenal rate. Despite this I managed to create a little piece of peace for you to see.
This little beauty started out with the oriental scene with black ink (Memento). I then blended a range of orange and yellow Spectrum Noir pens to create a warming sunrise/sunset backdrop.
I then applied a layer of clear gloss and waited for it to dry – well, I left it drying whilst I went and did a bunch of other stuff. Either way, it was applied and then dried.
For the sentiment I used Stazon ink because I was stamping onto the clear gloss.
Looks cool with the little drop shadow that forms because it’s raised away from the background.
The choice of cardstock to layer it onto was a conscious one and included three layers; gold and copper.
Anyway, I’m feeling slightly more relaxed having done this one but I can’t rest to long – more to make and more to do!

Hi John
It’s stunning. Love the effect of the Staz-On on the varnish
