So, I was wandering around the Hobbycrafts show at the NEC a while back when I bumped into Lynda Chapman, she immediately reached up, yanked a CD ROM from her display, thrust it towards me and told me that I would love it.
The CD ROM in question was the “Here Comes The Girls Brights and Lights” collection.
Apparently it was true – I did love it!
That Lynda Chapman must be psychic or something.
In my last post (featuring the Pollyanna Pickering DVD ROM) I chose to try something simple first. Well, you don’t have to be psychic to guess that I did the same for this one.
I am currently colouring in some of the digi stamps from the collection however, as a little creative break, I printed off one of the design sheets and made a simple friendship card.
The sheet was printed twice onto Super Smooth cardstock.
The main square topper was cut and then I also cut two further layers, eliminating some of the background each time in order to create my own decoupage effect.
I then cut out a range of the floral embellishments that were on the sheet, along with the friendship sentiment.
To assemble it, and build it into the finished eight inch square card, I teamed it up with some basic cardstock from a Die Cuts With A View pad.
A few gems were added to finished it all off.
And that was that – here are a few pictures …
Not bad eh? I’d like to take the credit for it however it was all inspired (and mostly pre-designed) on the topper sheet from the CD ROM.
Anyway, as ever, if you have any questions or comments about this post, please feel free to use the comments section below.
Many thanks for taking the time to visit.
See you again soon.
