Happy Halloween - An Inkadinkado Stamping Gear Project - Featured Image

Happy Halloween!

Halloween is just once a year and therefore I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to break out the craft stash and make a little something.

I shared the finished result on Facebook a couple of weeks back, but for anyone that missed it, here it is again.

Happy Halloween - An Inkadinkado Stamping Gear Project - 10You’ll probably have seen all of the techniques from me before so I just thought that I would put together a very quick overview of how this card was made.

Firstly I stamped the Inkadinkado Cauldron using a black Archival Inkpad.

Happy Halloween - An Inkadinkado Stamping Gear Project - 1I then used the Inkadinkado Stamping Gear and one of the Spiraling Inferno set of stamps to create a circular design around the cauldron.

Happy Halloween - An Inkadinkado Stamping Gear Project - 2I then trimmed this down into a rectangular shape.

Happy Halloween - An Inkadinkado Stamping Gear Project - 3Then I used masks (from Ali Reeves) to mask of and shade with some blue and purple distress inkpads.

Happy Halloween - An Inkadinkado Stamping Gear Project - 6I didn’t like the way the centre had turned out so did another copy of the cauldron on a separate sheet, this time heat embossing with clear embossing powder, masked it off and shaded it with inkpads and cut n dry foam.

Happy Halloween - An Inkadinkado Stamping Gear Project - 7I then coloured in the flames and fumes with Spectrum Noir pens, cut this out using my Spellbinders circle dies and created matts/layers for each of the shapes and then mounted these onto a large rectangular black card.

Happy Halloween - An Inkadinkado Stamping Gear Project - 8I then used some of the See D’s Smudgy Keys Alphabet stamps, a dark purple inkpad and a clear embossing powder to stamp out and emboss the letters of ‘Hubble Bubble’. I then cut each one out using a circular spellbinders die.

Happy Halloween - An Inkadinkado Stamping Gear Project - 9I then created a layer for each of the letters, assembled them and then arranged them onto the card.

Here is the final result again.

  1. John, I’ve said before you’re one talented crafter. Absolutely love this card but I wonder how you get the time to fit everything in. I think I must get in my own road and never achieve all I want to. Will have to take a leaf out your book. Look forward to the next creation. xx

  2. Love this card, somehow managed to miss it on FB. So clever how you’ve used the gear to create the background – perfect to showcase the fab cauldron stamp. More stash I need (*sighs*). Thanks for inspiration.
