Here is another card sample that I made for the recent run of Spellbinders shows on Create and Craft TV using the Whirl About Cut, Tuck and Fold Die Set die set.
Another simple card here.
Having selected the backing paper I then chose the cardstock to match by looking at the colours in the background paper.
I used the Standard Circles from Spellbinders to create some mats for the Whirl About design that I cut from cardstock that also matched the layers.
The bird and bow die cuts were added to bring some more interest to the card. I felt that the Whirl About die cut really framed the bird quite well.
A couple of gems later and bish, bash, bosh and the work is done! :)

It was a shape that I cut with the Cricut machine, but any now die or template would do the job.

I’m am sure that they do but I haven’t used an embosser yet so will need to look into that for you.

For the bow I used Coredinations Cardstock. For the Cricut I use a variety depending on what I’ll be doing with it. Layers and flat things I go up to 350, dimensional things like bows etc I go up to around 220.

Hi John
What a pretty card. I love the cut whirl and tuck dies, I’m still to play with mine. I really like the bird in the centre of the die cut, was it a die or from your Cricut ? Where was the backing paper from? It’s beautiful and I’d like to get some. The bow looks great and finishes the card wonderfully. Thank you for your inspiring blog.

This is a beautiful card, John. I really love the colours and your die cuts are stunning. You’ve really shown them off to their best. Can’t wait to catch your shows this weekend.
I hope you don’t mind me saying but you have the Cut, Fold and Tuck words in the wrong order! It must take some determination to say those right on air! I’m not sure I could manage it!
