Even more chuffed that the card was made using the decorative paper set too – why haven’t I thought of this before?!

Lovely sentiment and card. Beautiful day here sun shining brightly still cold though. Spring is here frogspawn in the the makeshift pond/ collared doves being very amorous and starlings trying to nest in my roof. Thats nature would’nt have it any other way Happy March!

Again a gorgeous card John, I love your series so much. Started today with a card with layout 20 as my inspiration. When I have mailed it to the birthday boy I will post it and refer to you and this awesome blog and series.
I don’t know if you did it on purpose nor I want to be a smartass, but did you know you scored your card on the wrong side? The valley you score is for the mountain fold on the outside. In this case I don’t think it will matter but if you fold heavier and special cardstocks such as pearlescent cardstock in this way, you will get cracks.

Interesting to hear your view on the scoring however I always score the valley on the inside as this reduces the bulk on the inside of the card – especially for thicker card – when folded and therefore prevents cracking on the outside.

Hi John, years ago I joined in a workshop with Diana Crick (owner/designer of the Scor-pal) at a paper companie. She said it was better to avoid wrinkles and tears, because by making a valley, you give the paper room to bend. The paper companie made pre-folded cards and had also the valley on the outside.
I just was curious why you did it the other way arround.

Lovely layout John, so simple but very effective. I’ve already used quite a few of your suggestions to make boxes of cards for a friend who is house bound and relies heavily on carers, so having plenty of assorted cards means she can “shop” at home! Looking forward to the next layout! Xx
