Hey there. Remember at the start of this month I set a little colour challenge?
Even I made the deadline for this one!
First, allow me to share this month’s entries from those that chose to play.
Jackie Elliott
Jackie says, “Hi John,
Hot off the press this canvas I’ve just finished and has since found a home with my daughter….because she’s simply AMAZING like it says on the canvas.
Honest it does have all three colours, seedless preserves is around the large leaf, towards the top left of the main arrangement, it just doesn’t show up to well ;(
Also wanted to say I’m enjoying your tales with Maisie and the crafty classes your doing, great job!”
Fab canvas Jackie! I’m sure your daughter thinks the same of you too for being so super talented!
Jan Hubble
Jan says, “Hello John,
I have attached a photo of the Anniversary Card I have made for my Husband – when I saw your colour choice this month I had a big smile. Our wedding colours were purple and turquoise and remain a hot favourite, especially for anniversaries. The heart cutout is from the Tattered Lace USB1 and the background I made using Spectrum Aqua Inks and Mica Powder and added some veins with your stamp.
I have used three of your rubber stamps in this – can you spot them all?
Hope you like it.
God speed on your challenge, following you with interest.”
Like it? I love it! Especially proud that my stamps made it into the project :)
Judy
Judy says,”Hi John
It was good to see you in Doncaster looking hale and hearty.
I attach my efforts for the July Colour Challenge – the folded tag card was made using the following:
Turquoise papers from a pad I bought in the £1 shop!
Black/Raspberry papers (from my stash) these are flocked but it doesn’t show up very well on the pic though
Tonic dies for the sentiments – cut out in white and coloured with seedless preserves marker
Butterflies punched in white and coloured with marker
Pearl strings from the Hobby House range
All held together with black grossgrain ribbon across the back
The Friends are Forever card (which I don’t like much!) – was made using the following:
Tonic die for the ornate circle colored with Peacock feathers and Picked Raspberry distress pads
MDF tag coloured as above
Tonic sentiment die
Tiny mulberry paper flowers from my stash
Card edged with Seedless preserves marker
Cosmic shimmer pearl drops
I hope all is well with you and Maisie – enjoy your travels.”
Stunning creations Judy! Hope you saw/booked Surrey :)
Kelly Stallard
Kelly says, “Hi John
I hope you are well and having a good journey.
Here is my interpretation of your lovely colours, Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers. I hope you like it.
Have a great week.”
What a wonderful alternative to the standard Christmas colours! All is well thank you and hope you had a good week :)
Thank you to all who contributed to this month’s challenge.
Want to see what I came up with?
‘Ere ya go.
Hope you enjoyed taking a look through everyone’s makes and that you’ll join in next month – the colours for August will be online in the morning.
Take care and see you soon.
J :)
Oh wow…
Jaw droppingly stunning projects, every one. Well done all of you, each so very different but each as striking as the last.
Thank you everyone for sharing, I got a great deal of pleasure seeing your work.
Happy thoughts and friendly hugs to everyone xxx

Probably because my email is rubbish and I appear to be finding all of the mobile signal black spots. That and I’ve a fair amount coming through in emails so it just may be that I haven’t got to it yet.

All great projects, and such different interpretations on a theme. My effort, sadly, is still sitting on my craft desk half finished!!! Maybe next month! Susan x

Dear John
Beginning to panic a bit I haven’t heard anything about the workshop in Northamptonshire that I’ve paid for. Please can you let me know I have a guaranteed place. I’ve also written twice to see if you are able at some point for a one to one on the Scan’Cut. So looking forward to meeting you and sharing in the workshop.

Hi Vanessa,
Don’t panic, details will be out next week.
I don’t have spaces for 1-2-1s at the moment.
