Artist Trading Card Daily – 47

I was genuinely shocked the other day when I checked my blog stats and found out that this blog was viewed over 100,000 times in January!

This ATC is therefore dedicated to all of you that have taken the time to visit, view and comment on my creations.

This creation was a mixture of old and new.

The floral design was part of a set from Tonic Studios clear stamps. This I had stamped and coloured a long time ago and been assigned to the ā€œcould come in useful some dayā€ pile.

When stamped and coloured it I used cream coloured cardstock and Spectrum Noir pens.

I cropped it down to ATC size and then added a little shading with some distress ink – to give it the aged look as it had been hanging on for so long!

I then added some faux stitching around the edge with a Pigma Micron pen. I don’t really know why I did this, I just thought that it might be a nice touch.

To finish, I added a sentiment that I had got in a free set from Clearly Besotted stamps and Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine.

  1. No John – thank YOU! I’m not surprised you had so many views with all your lovely work. This is beautiful and I love the faux stitching – it really sets the card off doesn’t it? I think the fact that you use a lot of the ‘bits and bobs’ you’ve saved for later has inspired us all to go and rake through our stash for things to use which would otherwise just sit there for years …. don’t know about everyone else but I’ve made some exciting finds and have lots of lovely projects to come for this year.
