Fabric Friday hasn’t been around for a while but I’m pleased to say that I’ve literally been doing nothing else but see for two days … progress at last!!
I therefore thought that it would be nice to remind you (and me) of projects that I need to finish and those that I am about to embark upon.

When I went out for a walk the other night I noticed that there roses had started appearing in some gardens.
I thought that it would be nice to celebrate these colourful blooms with a little ATC project.
A while back I showed you a crochet blanket project that I had started and asked you for your help on deciding on how to finishing it off.
I’ve been aiming to make a number of Christmas gifts this year and having started a crochet blanket (that has been occupying quite a bit of my time) I thought that I would share a few pics of the progress.
Hello and welcome to another Fabric Friday. This week I thought that I would try something different and see if anyone would like to take part in a sort of a sew-along with me.
I recently purchased a jelly roll and thought that I would create a simple foundation paper piecing pattern that we can all have a go at – and hopefully I will be able to share my finished piece, along side yours in a future Fabric Friday post.
For this week’s Worldwide Wednesday trip we are off to Mexico to meet quilting expert, Linda Carlson.
Linda, and her twin sister, co-design fabrics and teach quilting all over the world, but what inspires Linda to lead this creative life?
As you may have noticed in recent posts, I seem to be getting a “thing” for Foundation Paper Piecing.
Having used a few pre-designed patterns, I thought that I would have a go at designing my own.
So what is this? I’m talking of Winter as we are going through some of the hottest days of summer?!
Well, it’s not quite as mad as it seems.
Hello again, and welcome to another Fabric Friday! :)
Now, you were probably expecting me to be showing you the finished project from last week’s post however, on time honoured tradition, I appear to have been distracted by another technique, lol!
This week I have been having another go with foundation paper piecing.

After completing the recent run of Fabric Friday Fat Quarter Fun blog posts I left you with a picture of some of the leftover fabrics.
This week, instead of buying more fabric, I decided to give a new project a go using that leftover stash.
In a couple of previous posts I have been detailing a few projects that I started using some pretty Fat Quarters that I had picked up at the local market.
I am pleased to say that I have most of the things now finished (but not in the way that I had expected).
Well, I totally failed at completing any of the projects from the Fat Quarter Fun series as I’ve been trotting about whilly nilly doing totally random stuff (good stuff, just not sewing).
So that I don’t leave a horrid gap in the blog I thought that I’d take you back to (yet another) fabric related work in progress.
Last week I highlighted a few projects that I started using some pretty Fat Quarters that I had picked up at the local market.
My intention was that I would have all of the projects finished this week and that this post would show the triumphant results!
What was meant to be a quiet week has turned into a doozy, and on top of that my head has been particularly random when it comes to making things.
That has meant that this week’s Fabric Friday will therefore be more like Part 1 of a 2 Part special as I didn’t get a single thing finished! :)
