Artist Trading Card Daily – 114

Ever think that you are going a little ga-ga?

I know I do. This is what has inspired today’s Artist Trading Card.

Here is what I made.

Artist Trading Card Daily - 114

Looks quite normal and mixed-media-esque, until you read the words on the signpost. lol!

Anyway, The main background image was created using some Madame Payrauds tissue paper which I stuck down using some Mod Podge to a piece of cardstock and let dry.

I then shaded and coloured it with distress inks.

The finishing touch was the sign post. This was created by writing the words in a word processed and adding a shape (like a pennant) and printing out.

These were then chopped down.

The signpost itself was created with a thin strip of card that I striped with a black pen and topped with a googly eye.

The words were then added as pointers on a signpost.

Not so much ga-ga as a little odd? What do you think?

Anyway, I am sure that at least some of you can appreciate where I am coming from but I hope that you enjoyed it none-the-less.

  1. Love the background! I tried the decoupage papers for the first time last week and was really pleased with the results. So much good stuff to play with and not enough time lol :) x

  2. Hi John

Think it’s brilliant. Exactly how my meds make me feel lol!, Have some of the collection you used, I love it. Tissue looks great with DI’s. I got the tissue to use with the melt pot and beeswax.

    Hugs, T x
