Artist Trading Card Daily – 113

July 31, 2015 — 11 Comments

Hi :) Here is another in the mini series of Daily Artist Trading Cards that features a bit of doodling.

This time the design features a repeating pattern that was first sketched out by hand.

Zen Doodle Zentangle Artist Trading Card Daily - 113

It was made on a single ATC sized piece of cardstock. The pattern was first drawn out in pencil and then traced over with a Pigma Micron pen to give it all of the outlines.

I then used a simple pattern to create the background and pencil shading for the “ribbon strips”.

I added shading to the edges to give the design more depth so it almost looked as if it had a smoked glass edging – that way you can still see the pattern, but it looked like it was behind a frame of sorts.

Anyway, not much more to this one. Hope you liked it as much as the others.

One more left for tomorrow and then I shall be trying something else.

As always, if you have any comments or questions about this post then please feel free to use the comments section below. Also, If you know of anyone that would appreciate reading this post, there are handy sharing icons below.

Many thanks for taking the time to read about my little creations.

I’ll see you again soon!

J :)

Love this ATC. Funny how our brains work but it reminds me of my favourite game – backgammon. But like zentangle too – fantastic. Thank you x
