Spring will be on it’s way (hopefully) sometime soon so I thought that I would do a nice floral design for today’s ATC challenge.
I first stamped out the large floral design (from Sheena Douglass) onto some white Neenah cardstock. I also used the second gen ink to create a mask from a post it note.
I then lightly traced a line around the petals with a pink Inktense pencil and used a water brush to lightly blend that around.
The bluey background was created with a blue Inktense pencil and waterbrush again. After that had dried I masked off the flower and inked up my Old French Writing stamp from Hero Arts with Peacock Feathers coloured inkpad from Tim Holtz and stamped that across the blue washed area.
To finish the background I used a cyan Versacolor inpad to brush around the edges.
I used the colours from the main area to choose the coordinating cardstock onto which it was layered.
The little pennant was created with an off-cut of the cardstock and some handstamped letters that were punched out, stuck on the pennant and then coated in Diamond Glaze.
And there we have it, another mini make for my ATC365 challenge.

Another beauty and a happy reminder Spring is definitely on the way. Very pretty colours and the flower is set off nicely with the old French writing behind. Love the colourwash effect with the Inktense pencils and water … lovely! Almost a whole month’s worth of super designs so far … I think I might be going into melt down by now yet you keep them coming. I’m awe struck and looking forward to all the offerings to come. A massive well done so far John …. like having a gift in my inbox every day! x
