On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree!

As far as I can tell, only a couple of variations to this verse have appeared, including a Juniper Tree or a June Apple Tree instead of a Pear Tree, however, the current version has stuck in place since around 1900 when the song was first set to the current musical arrangement.
Carol aside, I should let you know that I used the 12 Days Of Christmas stamp set that came free with Issue 63 of Creative Stamping Magazine.
A line was drawn at the side of the Artist Trading Card and the sentiment stamped in the space created. This area was then masked off and the main design was stamped across the remaining space.
Alcohol pens were then used to colour in the design.
Anyhoo, how was Christmas lunch? All stuffed and ready for a nap now?
Whatever you have been up to I hope that you have enjoyed your day.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Bye for now,
J :)
Love this card John. I too have the set & enjoyed using them. I look forward to seeing what you do with the other 11 stamps. Merry Christmas & wish you peace & happiness in the coming new year. xxx
