For this Artist Trading Card I thought that I would venture back into the realm of the abstract and colour fun.
This is what I came up with …
Pow! What a load of colour, right?!
Anyway, I’d best calm myself and explain.
This creation started out with Ken Oliver’s Colour Burst which I sprinkled onto some watercolour cardstock and spritzed with water.
After letting it dry I was wowed by the colour combo and thought that it would be great for something, but then went off on a tangent and started making other things (which will be heading your way soon).
After dithering, making etc I came back to this and realised that I hadn’t done much with my growing collection of Impression Obsession Cover-A-Card stamps since getting them so I had a delve in the box and found the Reverse Peacock design – perfect!
Using Perfect Medium I stamped over the top and used some holographic embossing powder from Inkadinkado which was then heat set.
Now, you know me, I was about to start the decoration when a sudden feeling came over me – I realized that this was enough … no, really. No decoration needed – the colour and the design of the stamp just did it for me.
So that, as before, was that.
What do you think? Don’t the colours just jump right out at you? I love this one.
