Just a quickie for number 84 in the Artist Trading Card challenge but still some thought went into it.
To be honest, most of the work was done by the background which of course came from the Artemio tag kit that I have been using to create a series of artist trading cards.
Because of that background I wanted to give this ATC a little refinement and class so this kicked off with adding a layer of gold mirrored cardstock.
I then followed this up by creating the floral embellishment.
To do this I started by using one of the scallop edges stickers from the kit and sticking this straight onto the background. I then edged it with some mini gems.
For the large dimensional flower I stuck a scallop edged sticker onto paper, cut it out and shaped it with my flower forming tools. Into the centre I pushed some floral die-cuts and then popped in a mini gem.
Free-hand cutting with scissors created the leaves which were then shaped with the same tools as for the flower.
Before I stuck this down however I wanted to create a little sentiment banner.
Sadly none of the stamps that I had had the right size or sentiment (even though I have a bazillion!) so I decided to hand-write it. Because I wanted a colour to match the overall tone I used a Tim Holtz distress marker to write “love is” on a piece of white cardstock and then cut this out and stuck it to the scallop edges sticker that I had begun with earlier.
Onto this I then layered the leaves and flower with some Pinflair glue gel.
And that my lovely readers is the whole thing done and dusted :)
Sweet isn’t it? It gives me a whole love-letter vibe – does it you?

Hi John
My turn for some catching up! This is a beautiful little tag, it’s very understated and classy. I like it a lot. I genuinely thought the sentiment was from the pack a it matches so well
