Ever wondered if you can make text flow along a shape, rather than sit on it’s edge? Well, with this creative hack, the answer is yes!
Here is an example of text flowing a long a shape rather than sitting on it’s edge.

In short, we are still using the Fit to Path feature in the same way that we would on other occasions however with this hack we are chopping down a copy of the original shape to give us the path that we want to fit our text to. Simple really!
I’ve popped a video below to show how it all works however do remember that if you need guidance on the basic operations of the Scan N Cut, or Canvas Workspace, please do check out my full “Brother Scan N Cut – Cut, Draw and Scan with Confidence” and “Mastering Canvas Workspace” courses on Udemy.
Oh, and whilst I am shamelessly plugging things, did you know that I have literally THOUSANDS of SVG cutting files available? Some are free too! If you are interested in checking them out, please visit my store on the Creative Fabrica website.
Right, that’s enough of that.
Ready for the video? Ok, just click play and enjoy :)
That’s about it for this one.

I’m a new parent to my DX. Could you please tell me how you have all those options on your workspace? Neither workspace online or the app have the options you show. TIA
