Day 7 – 30 Days Of Card Making
Fresh, bright and uplifting – that was the result of today’s creation.
Regular readers of this blog will know why I am doing this mini challenge in order to reunite my mojo with my craft space. To follow the full journey, you can find all related post in the 30 Days Of Card Making archive.
Ok, on with today’s creation.

The background was actually an experiment for an earlier card that didn’t turn out the way “we” had hoped. On approaching craft space today it showed mojo and I this bright fresh background and inspiration struck!
FYI, the background was simply inking and scrunching the paper repeatedly. It was then squished through a die cutting machine to flatten it out.
Mojo chose a set of stamps that had everything we needed. The pattern for the background, the flower for the foreground and the sentiment.
All were stamped out but mojo fell flat as it didn’t like the “samey” look to the colours.
“We” therefore smeared, splatted and splurged our way through various mediums until we had a sampler that we liked and used to stamp out, and cut out, a second layer for the flower. This was stuck to the front of the card using foam pads to raise it up.
Done!
Ok, a whole week done! Going Ok so far…
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Thanks for reading today’s progress. Hope you will join me tomorrow to see how mojo, craft space and I get on with your journey.
Much love,
J x.

Does sound like it’s been full on for you for sometime so praps, as you say, a break is as good as a rest.

Love the bright green colour of the card today John. Perfect for a grey day. I think you are winning the war of getting mojo, craft room and you all working together. Thank you for sharing.

I love the bright green of the background – Just right to perk up a grey day! I have some glass paint that is that colour, from when I had a phase of painting Douwe Egberts jars… perhaps it’s time to have a rummage in the recycling box…

Hi John. What a lovely bright card to brighten up a dull day/ couple of weeks. Love Visible Image stamps and I have ‘collected’ quite a few myself. You are all doing well so far, working together. Keep up the good work. Kath x

Not sure if I’ve done anything in the past. Just making it through a making session each day so no new ones for a bit.

Glad to hear that “our” reconciliation is inspiring that in others. :)

From the outside, it looks as if your mojo and your craft space are moving towards uniting, but I don’t know how you feel now. xx
P. S. love the pattern and video for the face mask. Easy and quick to make, but effective. xx
