Hello fellow scanners, hope you are ready for another video tutorial as I have been playing in Canvas Workspace again this week.
In this video, I will be showing you how to create complex frames from basic shapes.
Ready to take a look?
No problem, here you go …

Isn’t it cool that you can make these two fancy frames from just two basic shapes?!
Anyhoo, as ever, I would like to take a mo to remind you that I am designing this in Canvas Workspace which is the online design suite for the Brother Scan N Cut cutting machine which is exclusively available in the UK from Create and Craft TV, so, if you don’t yet have a machine – please do pop over to the Create and Craft TV website and take a look to see if it would be right for you.
I also have quite an archive of blog posts relating to this machine so if you would like to have a look through those, here are a few links for you.
- Scan It Saturday Archive – an archive of weekly blog posts featuring tutorials.
- SVG Saturday Archive – a selection of blog posts featuring free SVG cutting files.
- Digital Craft Emporium – my SVG cuttings files for sale.
Also, if you did not know, I now have a full Scan N Cut workshop available over on Udemy which will give you all that you need to know about this amazing machine. Click on the image below to pop over and find out more.
Right, it’s time to dim the lights, refill that mug and sit back and watch.
Ok, thanks for watching and hope that you have a go yourself.
Catch you again next time.
J :)
Thanks for the tutorial, have followed the instructions and managed to create something similar. Now just need to go solo from start to finish. Thanks again for the help.
