Day 22 – 30 Days Of Card Making
Something joyful and soulful for you today, from “us”.
Regular readers of this blog will know why I am doing this mini challenge in order to reunite my mojo with my craft space. To follow the full journey, you can find all related post in the 30 Days Of Card Making archive.
Ok, on with today’s creation.
Today craft space has been offering up stuff that hasn’t seen the light of day for quite some time. Almost as if it’s saying, use it or lose it.
So, “we” did. Use it, not lose it.
A large background stamp – I think it was Hero Arts but not sure as the packet is missing – was used to create the background of this A6 card. Mojo chose a dye based ink as this was a red rubber stamp and it would give a nice crisp impression – good choice!
This background was chopped down, matted onto black cardstock and then layered onto the front of the card using a large piece of self-adhesive foam.
The sentiment, which I personally feel is lovely, was stamped onto white cardstock, trimmed down and then the edges were inked to give a slimline layered effect. This was fixed to the front of the card using another large piece of self-adhesive foam.
Finally, I inked up a bit of card and die-cut the leaves which were then stuck – along with the mini gems – vaguely intelligently to the front of the card.
Quite chuffed with this one.
