Ramming It Home

March 19, 2019 — 6 Comments

May I wish any of my blog followers with a birthday between March 21st and April 19th a day of fun-filled festivity!

Wanted to get this one done on time as you guys are ambitious, independent and impatient!

To celebrate the Arians, and all upcoming Zodiac occurrences I treated myself to a fabulous set of Cosmic Stars stamps by Mama Elephant from Simon Says Stamp.

Cute, aren’t they?

Apparently you Arians are trailblazing, independent and passionate. You don’t follow the crowd but are 100% committed to what you choose to do. Other people have trouble keeping up with you!

I am therefore super glad to count you among my chums.

With this in mind, I made this!

Mama Elephant Zodiac Simon Says Stamp John Bloodworth Gentleman Crafter (9)

Just a wee card.

Let me expand…

This card began with the ram. He was stamped out using Onyx Black Versafine Ink.

Then coloured and shaded with colouring pencils.

To create the backdrop I began by dragging a blue chalk ink over the top part of the card to form the sky.

Then, I ripped some cardstock to make a budget stencil and smooshed in some pigment ink to form the mountains.

A cloud stencil and paint marker were then used to give just a hint of cloud. It’s cool, fresh and windy up on this mountain so the air is clear and fresh.

A final little detail was adding some black gel pen lines around the design to draw the eye in.

Mr Ram was then chopped out and the background and ram were applied with foam tape.

Et voila!

Cute, no?

Mind you it does look like he’s taking off by doing a particularly stinky trump…

Hope you enjoyed this little make and have something to take away. What did you think? I would love to hear your thoughts.

If you do have your own ideas and would like this set of stamps, just head over to Simon Says Stamp and snap yours up today.

Anyway, time to crack on and stop mucking about.
Look forward to bringing you more soon.

Bye for now.

J :)

So simple, so effective! Thank you for sharing. It shows you don’t always need expensive stencils and dies. I am going to have to try this one. I especially loved the clouds!

Lovely little card John. I find these stamps very easy to get on with even though stamping is something I normally shy away from. My new years resolution was to try doing more stamping and colouring and I feel inspired to give this card a go.
