Hello all. Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that I will be making a couple of appearances on Create and Craft TV this Sunday 19th February.
Something different for me this time as I will be getting to grips with the Sapphire Plus die cutting machine from Spellbinders.
If you’ve not heard of this machine then here is a little blurb and a couple of images from the Create and Craft TV website…
This phenomenal crafting tool uses VersaCut Technology to ensure the ultimate precision whilst cutting dies, meaning that your projects will cut with even more accuracy than ever before.
It can cut over 40 different materials, including paper, card, fabric, leather, thin metal and even thin chipboard, and cuts up to six layers in one pass – meaning you can create several die-cuts at once!
The solid cast construction provides unsurpassed strength, pressure and durability, while the steady base is designed for maximum stability on your work surface.
This dynamic machine is designed to accept thick steel rules dies, as well as the existing thin metal dies in the Sapphire range. The 6″ cutting material work surface suits most craft dies and embossing folders, meaning that it’s never been easier to cut and emboss elements for papercrafting, mixed media crafting, fabrics arts, and home décor projects.

I’ve not used this before so it will be a voyage of discovery for all of us – lol!
The show times will be 10am, 1pm and 9pm – think I might pop to the movies between the 1pm and 9pm shows – hehe! Shows are subject to change so you might want to double check on the TV Schedule.
You can watch Create and Craft TV in the UK on Sky 674, Freeview 23, Virgin 748, Freesat 813, Apple TV and Amazon Fire. You can also watch in the USA on Dish 221 or Roku. The rest of the world should be able to watch via the website – www.createandcraft.com
Look forward to seeing you there!
J :)
Hi John any thoughts on using tattered lace dies in this machine. I received one for my birthday but am having great difficulty making it cut using the plates provided. They just wont pass through using anything heavier than copier paper and even then it’s a struggle. Love the shows Ruth Barker

Not something I’ve tried to be honest. Perhaps Dawn Wheeler might be able to help as she has been using it a lot more than I have.

I’ll be watching, John. It has to be a good machine. The size alone should make the pressure more even. Plus it’s from Spellbinders. I have the Sapphire which is a brilliant little machine.

Good tidings with your onward journey.

I always enjoy watching you demonstrate – you make it so interesting every time. Although I am a Scan n Cut user (and also a Cut and Embosser!) you seem to be able to still bring in lovely ideas that inspire me. Well done and keep up your superb work for MIND.
