A Cracking Christmas Secret

June 17, 2016 — 10 Comments

I’ve been keeping a secret all week – the lovely ladies that I met at Jodie Johnson’s house had a sneak peek at the dies that are being launched today at midday on Create and Craft TV – and so did I!!

We even got to play with them! Want to see what I made…?

With ideas already stirring I plumped for the two wreath designs.

The first, a holly wreath, was cut several times and then layered up onto black cardstock and then a simple sentiment and some glittery dots were added to finish – simple yet bloomin’ lovely, in my humble opinion.

The next wreath has more of a mistletoe design and I love the simplicity of this one so decided to keep it simple, like the card that I’d just made.

Using the Tonic Studios Christmas cracker die I then cut panels to fit and chopped two mistletoe wreaths in half and stuck on piece on each panel. The whole design was finished off with some repeat stamp with a snowflake and a sentiment.

Job done!

This Christmas lark is growing on me :)

What do you think? Very contemporary eh?

Whether you like my efforts or not, you can get these dies at a much reduced price from Create and Craft TV from Midday today, June 17th.

If you tune in you will also get to see what the ladies created too!

Many thanks for reading and I’ll catch you again soon!

J :)

I’ve only just discovered your blog. Your crafting is so good John, less is more. I often find myself not knowing when to stop. Thank you.

I can’t afford the whole of the pick of the week, so I have ordered the Holly wreath, the ‘rocking robin’ and the post box! Am already thinking of what I can ‘do’ with them but now have to wait for the post!!!

John, they are both really striking- sophisticated even and I could see this design selling for £££s in a big department store that does the epic Christmas TV ads. I know a lot of people like green plus red but I prefer something more contemporary for Sure.

Just watched Jodie’s show and saw the snowman’s balls… (tee hee)

Hope you’re warm and dry, is tiddling down with rain here and it’s grey as anything… flaming June indeed… is obviously called that as it’s always flaming raining!

    Take care, T x
