Explorations in Mixed Media Part 8 – Award Winning Mixed Media Medley

Not technically, but it’s got a medal in it, lol! Anyhoo, time for another quick exploration into mixed media with this week’s effort.

Before I get you to hop on over to YouTube to watch the video for this one, here’s a quick pic of the finished canvas.

S’nice, innit?

Anyhoo, a number of the techniques have already been covered in previous videos or required extensive drying time so this video is a little shorter than before but I hope you will enjoy it nonetheless.

Just prod play and I will explain all…

  1. I’s very, very nice John. I love your tutorials. Always great idea’s and tips.
    I have two questions if you don’t mind;
    – How did you print your rise paper, it’s so thin and did you print it with an inkjet or laser printer?
    – Will you please tell me te name of the swirl template you used, I have repeated the video 4 times and still didn’t here it well. I hope to find is somewhere on the www. I love swirls and this looks always so handy.
    Thank you so much for your awesome inspiration, stay safe and have a wonderful evening/day.

      • Thank you for answering my questions John, I have to try to print the rice paper. Never thought it would go to a printer because of the thin paper.
        I’m glad with the brand only John, if it’s out there somewere it will pop up.
        Stay safe and have a wonderful evening.

      • About the templates John, I found different one, they are called Jewel Templates and come in a two pack. Most of the pictures I saw there was no specific name but this one you use I saw as “Mistical Flourish”.
