30 Days Of Card Making 24

Day 24 – 30 Days Of Card Making

A message for us all today, perhaps…

Regular readers of this blog will know why I am doing this mini challenge in order to reunite my mojo with my craft space. To follow the full journey, you can find all related post in the 30 Days Of Card Making archive.

Ok, on with today’s creation.

This one started out with a large background stamp. For those interested, it was from Impression Obsession and was one of their large Cover-A-Card stamps. Not sure which one though as I’ve lost the packet – as usual.

Anyhoo, this was stamped in a light lilac distress ink and cropped down to size. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the background and the edges inked with a bright pink pigment ink.

The sunbeam behind the lady was from a set of sentiment from visible image and was stamped in a purple dye ink directly onto the background.

The lady – I think it’s supposed to be Marilyn Manson, no, wait, Marilyn Monroe – those are two VERY different people! LOL! Anyway, she was first stamped onto white card and cut out.

Then, a couple of sheets of card were stamped with a purple dye ink using another large texture stamp. Each was then over-stamped with the lady and various parts chopped out. Sounds drastic, doesn’t it?

These were all layered and stuck to the background which itself was mounted onto a UK-A6 card with a large piece of self-adhesive foam.

As a final touch the lady was given a purple rinse with watered down dye ink.

Ok, there we are, day 24 complete! Phew!
