Oh, by the way, I hope that you enjoyed the previous mini series of posts about digitizing the “Embroidery Forever” design. If you missed those, please do feel free to have a gander at the blog post archive.
Anyhoo, onto this post.
It’s a two-parter in which I will be sharing with you how I digitized one of my Mandala designs using the Hatch Embroidery digitizing software.
A version of this Mandala design is available to download here if you would like to digitize your own version or, if you would prefer to colour it in AND if you pop back for part 2, I will also have an exclusive download giving you the embroidery file for free too!
Ok, here’s the end result.
I did some tests with other colourways before settling on that one.
Just a few, lol!
Particularly liked the brown and black one, followed by the all turqouise one. Not such a fan of the pink, but it’s “Ok”.
I also REALLY need to go shopping for some more embroidery threads.
Right. Time to get digitizin’!
As with my previous posts, I will be using Hatch Digitizing software, a home-user version of the all-mighty Wilcom professional software. If you’d like to road-test it for yourself, a free 30-day trial can be snaffled over at the Hatch Embroidery Website.
This design uses a small selection of the tools available in the software and only took around 40 minutes – in real time – to put together. I did make a couple of adjustments to in/out points after I had done my first stitch out and of course have sped things up a little in the videos to around 10 minutes each so you don’t get a numb bum.
Ready? Just hit play …
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Hopefully see you back here again for part 2 next week.
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to sharing more with you soon!
Bye for now.
