A good while ago I came across a neat little add-on for the Brother Scan N Cut and quite honestly forgot to add it to my collection of info about the machine – bad naughty me! Anyway, recently the company has changed hands and started increasing availability across the globe so I thought that it was the perfect time to share – although you’ve probably heard of it already by now.

A few weeks ago I received the Zoom Engraving tool as a gift and have been having a little tinker to see what I could do with it and whether it works well with the Scan N Cut.
Come see what conclusions I came too … oh, and I will try and answer a bunch of questions as I write this post.

The title says it all really. What more can I say other than I hope that this year is a year to celebrate for us all.
PS, don’t forgot to pop in tomorrow as I will be sharing a whole bunch of new for ’22 “stuff”. I think that you are going to like it.
See you then.
John.
Well, the big day is finally here and I therefore just wanted to pop in and wish you all a very merry Christmas.
Hope you have had a good day whatever you chose to do.
I’ve been busy for the last few weeks making all sorts of blog content for the next year so I hope that you can join me in just over a week to see what’s new for ’22
PS, this is not my house. Nice though, isn’t it?
All the best,
John.
Well, there’s not much of the year left – somehow!
Now, the good news is that despite it getting harder and harder to remain relevant as a creative all-rounder in a shared space like the internet, I am going to give it another go in 2022 and have lots of exciting new content planned.
In order to give myself a good run up to this exciting new chapter, and now that the cardmaking series of blog posts made it to 100, I will be signing off for the remainder of this year.
There will still be a few bits and pieces that I have scheduled pop up but this blog and most of my social media pages, will be going quiet during December.
I hope you will forgive the absence.
You can of course lose yourself for a few hours whenever you like and plunder the archives here for all sorts from me dating back over 5 years to the present day – it’s a goldmine of random nonsense. Here are just a few of the categories and tags features on this site.

Anyhoo, in the meantime, I would like to extend my gratitude for all of the various ways in which you have shown support this year, whether this be signing up for a course, buying an SVG file set or just taking the time to read and comment on whatever random waffle I have been churning out. I really appreciate it and it is the reason I keep going.
Have an awesome festive month, whatever you choose to do – even if it is non-festive, and I will see you all bright and early in the new year!
Much love,
John.

Just a quick note to say that I am taking a short break from blogging/vlogging etc for a couple of weeks.
There are a few things scheduled here and there (e.g. CF Fans page stuff and the odd Facebook post) so you may see them pop up and I will of course still be managing the Facebook group and Udemy course when necessary – I’m not totally abandoning the internet, despite the temptation – but mostly I will be doing what the random guy (not me) in the photo is doing – naps, snacks and books.
Hope you all keep well and I will see you in a couple of weeks.
Mwah! xxx

Well, I am super proud today as this blog has again been nominated for another award!
That’s not the end of the story though as being nominated is just the first step. Voting for the actual accolade opens today so I would really appreciate your help.

Seen a lot of talk lately that folk are not being able to weld text that has the bold option enabled. After some fiddling, fact-checking and solution creating I am pleased to say that I have been able to bust this myth, kinda.

With the warmer weather upon us (finally) and lockdown having drawn out longer than any of us had anticipated I have made time to disconnect from work and get back to a project that I started a wee while back.
