  1. So glad your back John, hope you have done all the things you wanted to do, have some rest for yourself and be fully recharged again.
I’m not so well, I’ve been suffering from a lung attack since the beginning of June. Despite a medicine cure, it’s still not completely over. Have ot see my lung specialist next week.
So not much crafting for me, my energy is gone after have a day, so have to be very careful what to do and when. But the sun is shining so I enjoy sitting outsite when I take my rest.
Can’t wait to see what awesome blogposts you have come up with.
Stay safe and have a wonderful day.

  3. Hi John, welcome back! We missed you!
I just came back from Italy and France, got the Covid! Had it for 7 days, then the last few days, I started feeling better, and was able to continue my visiting. Not the best vacation this time. Now, I come back to the hot weather of 104*. Ewe! But I think I had my thrills , for traveling for awhile! Glad to be home! Hope you had better days!

  4. Glad to hear from you again John really missed your missives, I’ve had an upside down month and still trying to come to terms with it. We booked to go to visit our younger son in Majorca who we had not seen for nearly 3 years due to Covid and just before that, 4days, our eldest son collapsed whilst on holiday in Wales, a very remote area, thankfully an ambulance came an he was admitted into hospital, he needed a triple heart bypass which was done at a hospital near to our home on the 1st of June 5 days before his 54th birthday. We enjoyed seeing our other son and then when home went to visit Derrick at home. Yesterday he was back n hospital with an infection, antibiotic drip was administered and now awaiting for some good news. Sorry for the long missive but I feel better by getting it off my chest. Take care and looking forward to your new venture. good luck xx

  5. Hello John, hope you enjoyed your break. I’ve had a weeks holiday too, been busy in the garden and we went to Chester Zoo which was an amazing day. I enjoyed my time away from retail but back to it now. Looking forward to your tutorials starting again.
Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge.

  8. Hi John. We took a vacation to Colorado and took the narrow gauge railroad from Durango to Silverton through the San Juan mountains and along the Animas river. Went from about 6000 ft to 13,500 ft in altitude. It is spring runoff and the tracks run along the river. Gorgeous! All charged up and ready to go again.

  10. Hi, glad to see you back. I hope you are well rested and had a lovely break. Well, my plan for half term was to catch up with some of your card sketches. Yep, that didn’t happen, I ended up in Hospital for nearly a week after my heart stopped, about 8 times I’m told. The last time in the ambulance for 12-15 seconds before it started beating again. All very strange as I consider myself fairly fit and active with a healthy-ish diet and certainly not old old at 56! Anyway, they fitted a pacemaker so now I’m off work till September, so really hope I can catch up a bit now! Xx

    • Hi John, Good to see you back and hopefully well and rested. I’ve made a start on my Christmas cards plus keeping on top of birthday cards, my third patchwork quilt is on the bed and looks gorgeous (even if I do say so myself!) Been knitting an Aran cape for a friend of mine and then decided to knit her a sleeveless Aran top for Christmas too! So what with all that the housework (ugh), the gardening (yeah) and taking my dog Ted for a walk every day that’s me about done! Take care everyone! X

  11. Welcome back. Had my week long holiday last month only one we get that fits in with hubby’s work as a self employed farmer. Don’t venture far not a fan of summer heat when we get it. June never seems a good month for me over the years both my parents died in June a few years apart. Then at the start of this June lost a very special aunt and hubby told he needs both knees replaced so to cheer me up I treated myself to a new Monopod last week for my camera and have spent lots of hours taking photos of the birds ,squirrels (one sitting on window sill now having his/her food) and hedgehogs (that visit my garden in the evening) and doing a lot of reading that keeps me smiling and happy. Not crafted lately the weather makes me irritable so know things would not work out well 😄. Won’t be long though before I start on my Christmas cards when I find this year’s inspiration 😉😉. Looking forward to seeing more blog posts from you now your back with us 😀.

  13. Hi John, on a family holiday in Cornwall in a 15th century grade 2 listed house once inhabited by Sir Francis Drake. Still has original features. Weather rubbish, but who cares. Xxx
