For this week’s exploration in mixed media I decided that I would just have a play. I mean, it sounds weird that there was no end goal but that’s the beauty of mono printing, you can just print, print and print again with no purpose – very liberating!
After making and creating a while I realised that I had a little too much to shove into one video and so what I have done is a two-parter. This video will show you a bunch of the prints that I made along with some random waffle and then next week I will share with you the post-printing finishes that I have hinted at in the preview image for this post.
Anyway, bla, bla, bla, nuff waffle John, how’s about getting on with it.
Ok, the desk is all set and ready …
Watch The Mess Unfold!
Let’s make a start … just hit play.
Ok, that’s it for this one. Thanks for being here and I hope to see you again soon.
All the best,
John.

Great that you used a gell plate John. I had one for years but hardly used it, a few months ago I couldn’t do much exept sitting and do things easy and what’s easier than pulling prints!
Crafting is now on the hold as I told you earlier but ohh I see a lot of ordenairy things in the house that I can use for making texture on my plate. When you see it once you see it everywhere even when you do groceries LOL. Gathered a box full and besides some textured papers from paper packs that I have sorted out I promissed myself nothing to collect anymore for my gell printing, first use it, if it doesn’t give me any good or nice texture on my plate I will trow it away and then there is room for something else in the box.
Looking forward to next week!
Thank you so much for sharing, stay safe and have a wonderful evening.

I love the way you created botanical texture with a disposable glove! It shows you don’t have to have the “right” stencil, or texture making tool, just being willing to go with what is to hand and be willing to be surprised ❤️ A great video, looking forward to the next one…
