This one is also for those that were finding the “girly” florals a little too much.

Love this card John…. I use exactly the same as you for my blending mat though I do have a piece of cardboard in the plastic bag just to make it more stable :-) x

I would also colour the edges of the sentiment strip, it fits better in than bright white.

Hi John. I see on the video you used a blending brush, I am new to these but have seen them recently on a couple of craft videos. Are they worth investing in and better than using the sponge ones which at times I find hard to get a good blend without lines? Lovely card as always thanks for inspiration.X

A blending brush will give a different feel to a blending sponge but ultimately the choice is personal preference. I personally use the sponge for all types of inks however I will generally only use the brushes for water/dye based inks as pigments inks are a little too sticky to work with when using a blending brush and I don’t find that I have as much control.
