30 Days Of Card Making 15

Day 15 – 30 Days Of Card Making

Something utterly random for today’s make.

Regular readers of this blog will know why I am doing this mini challenge in order to reunite my mojo with my craft space. To follow the full journey, you can find all related post in the 30 Days Of Card Making archive.

Ok, on with today’s creation.

This one started out with a drawn border on the front of an A6 card.

The coloured strips were created with various colours of inkpads being dabbed direct to card – mostly because I am running low on “fun” colours in the craft stash. These were layered onto black cardstock for maximum contrast.

The sentiment – which is perfect by the way – was stamped onto white cardstock, die-cut and layered onto black cardstock and stuck to the card with foam pads.

For some reason a few self-adhesive gems were stuck on too. Probably could have gotten away without them.

Kinda like the simplicity that mojo and craft stash have created with this one. You?

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them in the comments section below.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Thanks for reading today’s progress. Hope you will join me tomorrow to see how mojo, craft space and I get on with your journey.

Much love,

J x.

  1. Fabulous again John, you and your pals are definitely getting it together again! The bold black against the bright colours really make them pop!

  2. No-one is perfect but everyone has their own kind of beauty and that indivdual beauty shines from within. Your card is bright and beautiful!

  3. You are so right John, the simplicity of this design is gorgeous and goes so well with the sentiment. I would never have thought of swiping coloured stamp pads to replace coloured cardstock but it is a brilliant idea and one I will certainly be using as it will help to keep postage costs down. Many thanks for inspiring me yet again to try something new x

  4. Loving all your cards, great idea to focus your mojo!
Today’s one I particularly like, the idea of creating the vivid fun backgrounds is such a useful tip.
    The sentiment is great.
I see myself as a procrastinating perfectionist who is learning that “to do and complete is better than perfection”
    Thanks again John!
