30 Days Of Card Making 12

Day 12 – 30 Days Of Card Making

Re-using that swiping technique again for this one. It’s turning out to be a fave of either me, craft space or mojo. In any case, it looks quite good too, so that’s a bonus.

Regular readers of this blog will understand who/what I am referring to. If you are not sure follow the full journey, by checking out all of the posts in the 30 Days Of Card Making archive.

Ok, on with today’s creation.

As mentioned, this one started with a graduated ink pad that was swiped over a piece of white card. This created the background. Looks a little like a wood texture, doesn’t it?

The sentiment was then stamped directly onto the background. Saves on matting/layering at least.

Some more “swiped card” was then used for the die cut petals that went to make up the flower. One of “us” also did some shading with black ink and then spritzed some oxide spray on the finished flower before it was set in place.

Die cut leaves were added to titivate.

Finally a couple of sparkly gem thingys.

Ok, almost two weeks in! Phew!

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Thanks for reading today’s progress. Hope you will join me tomorrow to see how mojo, craft space and I get on with your journey.

Much love,

J x.

  1. This has to be my favourite so far, I think it’s the colour. Going to my local craft shop tomorrow for another couple of ombre pads. Thank goodness for my birthday gift vouchers! I think mojo and craft space are well and truly reunited. Looking forward to day 13 x
