Creative Ideas With Couture Creations – “Hugs”

I might not be able to give you one in real life, but I can certainly give you one via this blog.

No, stop sniggering.

Today’s creation uses the Hugs cut, foil and emboss sentiment die from Couture Creations.

I really liked this background paper – found in a random pad that I picked up from B&M – and thought that most of the furry monsters looked like they were huggable. Obviously not the slimey green one, well, Ok, who am I to judge.

After matting’layering that paper onto the front of an A6 card I cut a couple of strips of card, fishtailed the ends and then fixed them to the front of the card using foam pads.

The sentiment, as you might have guessed by now – was cut from various colours of cardstock, with the top layer being cut using the inked letterpress technique I have shared before.

These were then glued together, offsetting each layer, and the group was then fixed to the front of the card with foampads.

Simple. Fun. Huggable. Sounds like me…? Lol.

  4. Hallo John.
This is so funny. Love the little monsters. I have to ask, must have overlooked it, but where do I find guidance for the inked letterpress technique. Actually, I’m not quite sure what that entails. Many hugs from Susanne
